By creating an account or entering a challenge on Yano Stars, you agree to these terms. Yano Stars is operated by Future Media Digital (Pty) Ltd.

Eligibility

Yano Stars is open to people living in South Africa. You are responsible for making sure you are permitted to enter under any laws that apply to you.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You must verify your email address before you can vote.

Entries & Rules

All entries must follow the official competition rules, which form part of these terms. In short: original performances only, the correct challenge track, no stolen or AI-generated videos, and no inappropriate content.

Content Ownership & Licence

You keep ownership of the videos you create. By entering, you confirm the work is yours and you grant Yano Stars permission to feature and promote your submission across our website and channels in connection with the competition.

Fair Play

Vote manipulation, fake accounts, and any fraudulent activity are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification and possible suspension of your account. We monitor voting to protect the integrity of the competition.

Judging & Voting

Judges score every entry, and the highest scorers become finalists. The public then votes to crown the winner. Judges' decisions and final vote tallies are final.

Prizes

Each challenge announces its own prize. Prizes are subject to the specific terms of that challenge and cannot be exchanged for cash unless stated.

Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms or the competition rules, or that harm other participants or the platform.

Limitation of Liability

Yano Stars is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
