Eligibility
- Open to everyone living in South Africa.
- All skill levels are welcome.

Video Requirements
- 45–60 seconds long.
- Clear video quality.
- An original performance, your own dance.
- No inappropriate content.
- Post it on TikTok, YouTube or Instagram Reels, then submit the link on Yano Stars.

Music
Only the official challenge song may be used, unless otherwise stated for a specific challenge.

Judging
Every entry is scored out of 100 across five categories:

The Top 10
The highest-scoring dancers become finalists. Quality comes first.

Public Voting
The Top 10 are published and voting opens. Everyone starts from zero, judges' scores decide who reaches the Top 10, they do not carry over. The finalist with the most public votes becomes the Yano Star.

Fair Play
- No hate speech.
- No offensive behaviour.
- No stolen videos.
- No AI-generated dance videos.
- Any fraudulent activity results in disqualification.

Rights
Participants confirm they own or have permission to submit their videos. By entering, participants grant Yano Stars permission to feature their submissions across its website and promotional channels in connection with the competition.

Final Decision
The organisers reserve the right to disqualify entries that violate the rules.
